Had a birthday lunch to go to on Sunday at a lovely gastropub on the Uxbridge Road called the Priness Victoria, now I had been all planned and got them to fax me the menu in advance so that I could have a good look and choose the best options and I did manage to stick to this for the starter and main, but after a glass of white and a glass of red and the sight of everyone chowing down on pate, crispy fired pigs cheeks, pork belly and such like I decided that i would order a dessert!!!
Spiced brioche doughnuts with clotted cream and homemade jam OH MY GOOD GOD they were LUSH, I was halfway through them when I was like OMG i need a glass of bubbly to wash them down with, yes why do things by half, I cannot even imagine how many points it was, and to be honest I don't care. Obviously have been super good for the rest of the weekend and until WI on Wed but it was SO WORTH IT......

that bleeding Carte D'Or advert!
Sunday afternoon, layed on sofa watching an old movie Goldie Hawn, Chevie Chase rom-com capers from the 70's all good fun... EVERY single advert break the same thing
Caramel, cue chunks of caramel cascading down the screen then melted into vanilla icecream with pieces of Belgian WAFFLLLLLEEEEE, dropped onto the melted CARAMEEEELLLLLLLL on top of the creamy ICE CREAMMMMMMMM with WAFFFLLLEEEE like a tempting mantra flying around my head
Seriously people give it a REST, I can hardly think of anything else, by evening I am almost about to run to the corner shop to buy some ice-cream when I fondly remember the last time I made a Sunday evening shopping trip there 4years ago!
There I am (ahhh my misty glasses on looking at this beautiful memory) standing in front of the chocolate, taking my time, picking things up, changing my mind, changing it again having a nice time deciding which treats I would indulge in when my dreamy trance was shattered by a loud Jamaican voice...
"That's what I like to see, the larger lady"
Cue my horror, the shopkeepers look of utter pity, another customer actually squint with the pain of the situation, I turn to see a tall, slim Rasta man with a henna beard and a grin on his face...I am speechless, I have lost the power to move, I stand there clutching a Twix and a bag of Malteasers....
"I could make you happy all night, big woman like you"
Is he chatting me up? Is he trying to make me cry? Is is HIGH???
I dropped the chocolate back onto the counter and left, IN A HURRY
Needless to say I have never been back to that shop in the evening, and I certainly have never been on a chocolate run there....

It is NOT my new hair CUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
cue one of the biggest hissy fits I have had in ages...
Had a new haircut a couple of weeks ago (see Tilda Swinton at Cannes) and so all weekend family members who have not seen me in a while are like, ooooooo nice hair, makes your face look thiner! wow!, this went on all night until i BURST
No it is not my haircut I HAVE LOST WEIGHT you bunch of wallies!
oh and I did not say ##'@'s">wallies....@:?>##'@'s

If your family is more like Shamless than the Waltons
So... survived the get together up in Scotland, 3 brothers, 1 sister, 2 sister in laws, mum, dad, dad's ex wife, 5 nephews and too much alcohol...
WI this week and had lost only half a lb, but to be honest this was a miracle, considering how much booze I managed to put away over the weekend.
I came off the Alli for most of the weekend, I had been eating very low fat and was scared that I would be tempted in by the advertised BBQ at the pub, this was probably a wise move as although I did not eat a burger I did manage to be sick all down myself in the night... Now in my family that means being teased for about 5minutes, but if I had soiled myself.... oh the JOY would never have ended, it would have been like Christmas for all my siblings and nephews a gift that would have carried on giving all year round or until someone did something worse...
Back on the points in ernest this week, have been uber good and am hoping for a good loss next Wednesday... Itsu Frozen Fat Free Yogurts are seeing me through, they look like a McFlurry with fruit on the top but they are only 2.5points :)
